We list here the information about the “Don Bosco en los Andes” Andean Guides Society, which since 2003 is servicing mountains in various Peruvian Cordilleras.
The “Don Bosco en los Andes” headquarters are located in Marcarà-Callejon de Huaylas, 25 Km from Huaraz. Transportation to Marcara is very easy. The headquarters are located in Avenida Raimondi, close to the square, on the way to the Chancos (Vicos) thermal baths.
The guides have been trained in an institute managed by Operation Mato Grosso; they attended guide courses taught by the AGMP commission (Asociación de Guías de Montaña del Perù).
The training is excellent; the guides offer any kind of support for climbs on the Cordillera Blanca, Huayuash and Raura.
They offer trekking in the Cordillera Blanca, Negra, Huayuash, Raura; moreover they offer new routes, with visits to new and uncrowded archaeological sites (Honcopampa, Copa Chico, Shonquil, Yaino etc.).
